No one maneuvered the guitar quite like rock & roll legend Jimi Hendrix. He left audiences tranced by sheer amazement of his memorizing and powerful electric guitar shredding. One of Jimi’s last gifts to the world, before he passed away at age 27, was his band’s third and final album, Electric Ladyland.
The double album was the most commercially successful album for the Jimi Hendrix Experience and their only release to hit number one. It also featured their only Top 40 hit with the band’s flawless cover of Bob Dylan’s song, “All Along the Watchtower.” Hendrix’s last studio endeavor with his band is praised as one of the greatest albums of all time.
