The Band’s self-titled album, aka The Brown Album, is regarded as one of the best albums of all time. It features a number of critically acclaimed songs, including “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” and “Rag Mama Rag.” Though a Canadian, Robbie Robertson wrote songs for the album that were based on examples of America’s pastime. It brings with it a rush of American nostalgia and a craving for a simpler time.
