At the end of his world tour, David Gilmour performed an epic concert at the Polish shipyards backed by an all-star band, including Richard Wright, Dick Parry, Jon Carin, Guy Pratt, and Phil Manzanera, and the 40-strong string section of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic. The result is an evening of legendary tunes, like prog-rock epic “Echoes,” “High Hopes,” “A Great Day for Freedom,” and staples “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb” played against the backdrop of both giant, colorful screens and a crane-filled skyline. LIVE IN GDANSK is also the last recorded performance of Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright, so this concert has also become an eulogy to his life in music.
Stay tuned for our second premiere of the night: “YES: 35th Anniversary Concert” at 9:40 ET|6:40 PT. The Brit prog-rock’s original lineup comes together to deliver an unforgettable show at a sold-out stop on the band’s 35th anniversary tour. The setlist showcases songs from all eras of the band’s career, including classics from their ’70s heyday, as well as cuts from their later work – like “Mind Drive” from 1996 double-album “Keys to Ascension.”
