George Jones: 50 Years of Hits | Sunday, June 9th

George Jones or Alan Jackson: who sang “One Woman Man” best?

We’re celebrating 50 years of hits from the country legend, George Jones! One of those hits is of course, “One Woman Man”, which George Jones recorded twice. First in 1960, then again in 1988. He peaked at #5, and ultimately the 1988 version would be his final Top 10 solo hit. The song was originally released in 1956 by Johnny Horton, who hit #7 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Since then, “One Woman Man” has also been recorded by Steve Young in 1969, Glen Cambell in 1987, and Josh Turner in 2007. This Sunday, we’re celebrating George Jones with a star-studded tribute concert and Alan Jackson was rewarded the honor of covering “One Woman Man”. Give his version and George Jones a listen below before the full concert SUNDAY 9/8c on AXS TV!
