Surprise Faces at This Year’s Stagecoach Music Festival on AXS TV

For 3 Days the desert will be alive as thousands of fans and dozens of country music artists take over the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA for the 7th Annual Stagecoach Music Festival. AXS TV will be there for the first time broadcasting over 16 HOURS worth of LIVE performances over that 3-Day span. This year’s Festival lineup includes big names like Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker and Lonestar as well as some artists that may surprise you…

Here are a few surprising faces performing this weekend at Stagecoach:

Jeff Bridges – Performing Friday Night

Ok, it’s not really THAT big of a surprise Jeff Bridges is performing at a country music festival but it’s still awesome to see “The Dude” in the lineup. Bridges won an Academy Award playing a country-singer and has TWO studio albums (Be Here Soon and Jeff Bridges) under his belt. You can see Jeff Bridges with his appropriately named band, The Abiders Friday night on AXS TV.

Norah Jones – Performing Friday Night With The Little Willies

Norah Jones and Country Music? That’s kind of a head-scratcher right? Well, believe it or not, the Multi-Grammy Award Winner is a big-time country music buff and will be performing at this year’s Stagecoach with her band The Little Willies. Jones started the band back in 2003 and to date they have released two studio albums. The band performs covers from classic country artists like Hank Williams, Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton as well as some original compositions. See Norah Jones like you’ve never seen her before performing with The Little Willies Friday night on AXS TV.

Kenny Loggins – Performing Sunday with Blue Sky Riders

You read that correctly, the same guy that gave us hits like “Footloose” and “Dangerzone” is now in a country band. You can watch Kenny Loggins in his new band, Blue Sky Riders Sunday at Stagecoach. The trio, which also includes Gary Burr and Georgia Middleman, put out their debut album back in January.

Nick 13 – Performing Saturday

Nick 13 burst onto the country scene in 2011 with the release of his self-titled album and has gained even more of a following thanks to his newest single “Carry My Body Down.” What you might not know though, is that Nick 13 made a name for himself in the mid-90s as the lead-singer and guitar-player for the punk band Tiger Army. Here is a then AND now look at Nick 13, look for him performing Saturday on AXS TV.
