From his humble beginnings in New York, to his crazy antics as a teenager, and eventually his rapid rise to super stardom, there’s no denying the impact Eddie Money had on the world of music. He tried to follow in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, and brother by becoming a police officer, but after a short time on the squad, he left for his true calling. “I couldn’t see myself in a police uniform for 20 years of my life, with short hair,” he later said. After moving to California, studying with a vocal coach, and dropping a few letters off of his last name, Eddie Money became a musician. His debut album was released in 1977, he earned a Grammy® nomination in 1987, and the entire world was singing along to his chart topping singles. He’s made us laugh and has warmed our hearts with his jokes and his role as father and has created a true legacy with his songs. Take a quick journey through his life & career, then join us for a two-hour concert dedicated to the beloved rock icon on Sunday, March 22nd at 9/8c.
