“Peace in Our Time” was a single released by Eddie Money in 1989 and it was included on his album, Greatest Hits: The Sound of Eddie Money . This track reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was originally written by Andy Hill and Peter Sinfield.
Eddie Money covered “I Wanna Go Back” on his 1986 album, Can’t Hold Back, which was a follow-up single to “Take Me Home Tonight”. The music video features Money having flashbacks to high school juxtaposed with him and his band performing in front of a large live audience.
“Baby Hold On” was released in 1978 as the first single from Money’s debut album Eddie Money. Written by Eddie Money and guitarist Jimmy Lyon, this catchy hit was claimed to be a song that is “bound to get stuck in your head” by Rolling Stone magazine writer, James Halliday.
“Take Me Home Tonight”, another classic Eddie Money hit that will get stuck in your head, was released in 1986 as the lead single from his album Can’t Hold Back . The song’s chorus features the 1963 hit by the Ronettes’ “Be My Baby”, with original vocalist Ronnie Spector reprising her role. “Take Me Home Tonight” went to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November of 1986.
Coming in at our #1 spot of best Eddie Money songs is “Two Tickets to Paradise”. This song is also from his self-titled debut album, Eddie Money and went to #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978. Surely, you have heard this Eddie Money hit on any classic rock radio station or on shows such as The Office when Michael Scott sings a short parodied version of “Two Tickets to Paradise” on the 2006 episode “A Benihana Christmas.”
