Throughout the span of his nearly 50-year career, Cash became one of the best-selling artists of all time, was inducted to the Country, Rock, and Gospel Halls of Fame, and received multiple Country Music Association Awards, Grammys, and more. His deep, calm, Bass-baritone voice combined with his lyrics of sorrow, moral tribulation and redemption established his distinct sound that captivated millions & inspired countless more. We’re celebrating his life and legacy this Tuesday on The Day The Rock Star Died at 8:30/7:30c.
Docs That Rock: Genesis: The Sum of All Parts
Tuesday on Docs That Rock, we’re learning all about the formation and the evolution of the band Genesis. We’re going back from their formation at Charthouse, where Tony Banks, Peter Gabriel, and Mike Rutherford were all students in the late sixties and the release of their debut album From Genesis To Revelation. Then, we move on to investigate how the band survived Peter Gabriel’s and Steve Hackett’s departure in the late ’70s and evolved from a small prog-rock band to one of the biggest pop-rock bands ever with a swap of lead singers. The documentary features exclusive interviews from the band members themselves and special archival footage from throughout the years. Don’t miss its AXS TV premiere this Tuesday at 10/9c
