The Jealous Obsession That Killed Gianni Versace | Final 24

He was on top of the fashion world and because of that, someone wanted him dead

Versace founded the international fashion house that changed the industry. He decided costumes, accessories, fragrances, make-up, home furnishings, and of course, clothing that flipped couture on its head. He was described as selling sex wrapped up in $25,000 garments that every movie star wanted to wear. However, with his success in the fashion world unmatched, he also attracted a massive amount of jealousy. On July 15, 1997, Versace set out on his morning walk to pick up his newspapers and magazines. Andrew Cunanan, an envious admirer, struck just as Versace was returning home from his morning stroll. He shot and killed Versace just a few yards from the front door of his mansion. Why did he do it? We attempt to answer that question on Final 24 on Wednesday, July 15th at 9/8c.
