A little bit country a LOT of rock & roll!

ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons is a Texas blues icon. He carefully mixed together country and western with, in the words of Gibbons himself, “Hardcore blues and R&B.” This week on Paul Shaffer Plus One, Billy Gibbons sits down with Paul Shaffer to talk about the origins of his sound. He talks about gaining inspiration from opening for Jimi Hendrix, all the way back to the origins of Texas Blues, when people had nothing else to do but sit on a porch and play guitar. Check out a sneak peek of the episode above and tune in to hear more of their conversation, plus a cover of Muddy Water’s “The Big Bad Blues”. An all-new episode of Paul Shaffer Plus One premieres this Sunday at 8/7c on AXS TV!

We’re adding a splash of color to your favorite playlists!

It all starts this Sunday at 8:30/7:30c!

Three gigs on three continents in one day? It’s all in a day’s work for Def Leppard!

Joe Elliott has been all over the world with Def Leppard, but on October 23rd, 1995, him and the band set out to do something nobody’s ever done before and nobody’s done since. They played Tangier, Morocco then London, England and finally in Vancouver, Canada all in the same day. When this bonkers publicity stunt was presented to Elliott he had one question, “How’s that possible?” The answer, “It’s technically not.” But, the band worked with timezones to complete the record-breaking mini tour in promotion of their greatest hits album. Hear the secrets behind staying awake for 29 hours to pull it off and more about life on the road with Def Leppard when Joe Elliott sits down with Brian Johnson for A Life on the Road this Sunday, October 6th at 9/8c.
