The excitement is building as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival announces its 2025 lineup, a noteworthy event in the music world for its impressive range of artists and innovative performances. Set to take place over two weekends in April, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the festival will feature headliners Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott, promising to deliver unique and riveting performances. This announcement arrives notably earlier than usual, fueling anticipation for the festival’s upcoming iteration.

Lady Gaga is scheduled to headline on both Fridays of the festival. Known for her theatrical performances, Gaga’s presence at Coachella has been eagerly awaited since her last headliner spot in 2017. Fans look forward to her delivering an elaborate and energetic show that embodies her status as a pop icon. Joining her on Fridays are Missy Elliott, FKA twigs, and The Go-Go’s, among others. Missy Elliott's participation follows her long-awaited return to the stage, ensuring a dynamic mix of hip-hop and pop alongside Gaga's extravagant set.

Green Day, the legendary punk rock band, will headline Saturdays, marking their debut at Coachella despite frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s previous guest performance in 2014. The band promises an electrifying show, aligned with their legacy of rich punk anthems, setting the stage alongside other acts like Charli XCX, the Misfits, and Anitta. Armstrong commented on the ever-alive  spirit of rock and roll, highlighting the band's intent to deliver a show imbued with both hope and intensity.

Post Malone is set to close the festival on both Sundays, bringing his eclectic blend of hip-hop and pop to the Coachella stage for the first time since 2018. His inclusion had been anticipated after he inadvertently hinted at his involvement via an Instagram post related to his 2025 tour. His performances will be supported by acts such as Megan Thee Stallion and Zedd, promising a thrilling end to the festival weekends with a fusion of pop, rap, and electronic music.

Travis Scott returns to Coachella in a unique role billed as “designs the desert,” indicating a special Saturday night presentation aimed at showcasing his creative vision. Scott, for whom Coachella holds significant past experiences, both personal and professional, is expected to bring innovative and immersive elements to his show. His involvement suggests a performance that will possibly redefine the expectations of what a headlining act at Coachella can deliver, blending music with distinctive visual artistry.

The lineup includes a vast array of artists across multiple genres, with performances from the likes of Charli XCX, whose stellar year continues to capture critical acclaim, and Megan Thee Stallion, indicative of the festival's commitment to featuring both well-established acts and emerging stars. This year's Coachella aims to highlight a diverse musical landscape, providing a platform for artists like FKA twigs and Jennie from BLACKPINK, each contributing their unique sound and style to the festival.

The reveals came through an unprecedented early announcement partly sparked by a social media tease from Post Malone, which caused a flood of speculation that was soon confirmed by the festival organizers. Tickets for the much-anticipated event are expected to be in high demand, with presales already getting underway, underscoring Coachella's status as a key highlight in the annual music festival calendar and a must-attend for music lovers around the globe.
