Indiana University’s “Little 500” LIVE April 19th and 20th on AXS TV


The country’s largest college bike race heads to AXS TV during Indiana University’s “Little 500.” AXS TV continues it’s LIVE broadcast tradition with both the Women’s and Men’s races April 19th and 20th LIVE from Bloomington, Indiana. Be sure to watch all of the excitement and crashes that the race has to offer as hundreds of students compete while raising money for scholarships.

The 26th running of the Women’s Little 500, will air LIVE on AXS TV Friday, April 19th at 4p ET and the 63rd Annual Men’s Little 500 can be seen LIVE Saturday April 20th at 2p ET. The races are patterned after the Indianapolis 500, with up to 33 teams lining up for the start in 11 rows of three. Starting positions are determined by qualifying times, with the fastest team nabbing the pole. As many as four riders can compete on a team. When one rider on a team is tired, he or she exchanges the bicycle with a teammate. The women’s race is 25 miles — 100 laps on a quarter-mile cinder track. The men’s race is 50 miles — 200 laps on the same track.
