UCF Take Battle 4 Atlantis Opener Over Charleston

UCF’s Keith Clanton was just two points shy of 30 in the Knight’s opening win over Charleston. But he wanted to talk about D after the game.

At halftime, Knights coach Donnie Jones ordered his squad to pick up their defensive intensity. Clanton and his teammates did has told. Charleston shot a red-hot 46 percent from the field in the first half but cooled to just 36 percent in the second half as UCF pulled away. As the Cougars cooled, Clanton ripped away 14 rebounds – 11 from the Charleston glass.

“We got on each other,” added UCF guard Marcus Jordan, who notched 17 points in the win.
