Before US military chopper pilots deploy to the war in Afghanistan, they make a pitstop in the mountains of Colorado, where they learn high-altitude flying skills.  The training pilots receive at the Colorado National Guard High Altitude Training Site, the only one of its kind in America, mimics the treacherous conditions they will encounter in Afghanistan.

Then, after years of grueling civil war, South Sudan gained its independence.  But the new country is threatened by internal conflict, desperate poverty and clashes with the North. Can Africa’s youngest nation survive?  Finally, a high, remote mountain valley in Colorado is home to dozens of religious and New Age spiritual centers.  How one woman created a sacred sanctuary.
