Some members couldn’t believe their ears, while others had to pull their car over on the side of the road to avoid a wreck. Learn more about this song and the career of The Doobie Brothers with Let The Music Play this Tuesday!

Let The Music Play is the story of The Doobie Brothers from their beginnings as a biker band in California in 1970, through their breakthrough with Listen To The Music in 1972. This documentary covers their sustained success and line-up changes in the mid-seventies, as well as their change of musical direction with the arrival of Michael McDonald in 1976. Using contributions from all surviving band members, their manager, Bruce Cohn, and long term producer, Ted Templeman, you’ll hear the full story of the band’s highs and lows through four decades of musical evolution.
