Neil Young “Heart of Gold” | April 30

Do you know who Neil Young wrote “Old Man” after?

This Tuesday, Neil Young lets us in on the stories behind some of his most famous hits! In this concert film directed by Jonathan Demme (Oscar-winning producer for The Silence of the Lambs), Neil Young expresses modest hopes for his two-night stint at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium, the home of the original Grand Ole Opry. Young explained he wanted to “play well, share the stage with my friends, and let the muse have us”. Trust us, he does not disappoint!

In this sneak peek, Neil Young talks about what he thought of his early success, and tells the story of how a ride in a blue Jeep inspired his song “Old Man.” Watch Neil Young: Heart of Gold as part of our True Story Tuesdays on Tuesday, April 30th at 9/8c only on AXS TV.
