How Diabetes Helped Bret Michaels Face the Critics | The Big Interview

Since age six, Bret Michaels has lived his life as a fighter

This Wednesday on The Big Interview, Dan Rather is sitting down with an 80s music icon, Bret Michaels. Michaels rose to fame as the lead singer of Poison and sold over 40 million records with the band, charted 10 times on the Top 40 countdown, and has been an inspiration to many across the globe. When he was only six years old, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, but he never let that stop him. In this special sneak peek of this week’s episode, Michaels talks about how when he was a child he accepted his diagnoses and grew from it. He realized if he can handle getting shot after shot, getting blood drawn multiple times, and living with this disease every day, he could face critics, fight for his career, and become stronger as a person and musician. Hear more from Michaels on The Big Interview at its new time this Wednesday, October 23rd at 8/7c.
