Hello from New York,
Tonight on “Dan Rather Reports” we share a sobering and special investigation into civil wars long after the fighting has stopped. Our story centers on what was once known as Yugoslavia. It’s been 21 years since their civil war ended, but the tragedy of war continues today – with an estimated 12,000 people still missing.
An organization known as the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) is working tirelessly to lower that number. ICMP is still finding mass graves from the decades-old conflict, exhuming the bodies, and using DNA analysis to help confirm identities. The evidence is used to narrow down the list of the missing, and also to prosecute war criminals. It’s a heart-wrenching story of neighbors fighting neighbors, and loved ones seeking closure to a conflict that seems never-ending.
We hope you’ll join us tonight for a special “Dan Rather Reports” at 8 ET|5 PT, only on AXS TV.
