GRAMMY-WINNING COUNTRY ICON MARTY STUART JOINS DAN RATHER IN AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF THE BIG INTERVIEW, TUESDAY, JAN. 27, AT 8pE ON AXS TV
Country legend Marty Stuart brings his classic honkytonk twang to THE BIG INTERVIEW, as Dan Rather sits down with the five-time GRAMMY® winner, writer, and photographer on Tuesday, January 27, at 8pE.
With a critically acclaimed career spanning over four decades, Marty Stuart has crafted a lasting legacy as one of the most influential and enduring Country stars in the genre today. Since beginning his professional music journey as a member of Lester Flatt’s band at the tender age of 14, Stuart has gone on to work with a roster of all-stars that includes guitarist Doc Watson, fiddler Vassar Clements, Steve Martin, Vince Gill, and the incomparable Johnny Cash.
Following a five-year stint in Cash’s backing band, Stuart embarked on a successful solo career, fueled by hits such as “Arlene,” “Hillbilly Rock,” “Western Girls,” and the GRAMMY®-winning Travis Tritt duet “This One’s Gonna Hurt You.” He is best known for his trademark blending of rockabilly and honkytonk with traditional country music. When he’s not on stage, Stuart hosts THE MARTY STUART SHOW with his wife, Country queen Connie Smith. The 30-minute variety show features performances with his band, the Fabulous Superlatives, and interviews with some of Country’s biggest names, including Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, and Willie Nelson, just to name a few.
NEXT WEEK: Weird Al Yankovic
