11-Second Knockout Caps Off AXS TV FIGHTS: CES MMA XXVII

LOS ANGELES – January. 30, 2015 – INSIDE MMA correspondent Ron Kruck caught up with UFC featherweight fighter Conor McGregor for a one-on-one interview in Las Vegas. Among topics discussed, McGregor said he plans to compete in the “European Open Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship” in Rome this April and shared his thoughts on Jose Aldo and their scheduled fight which will take place in Las Vegas July 11.

Said McGregor on the date of his next fight:

“That’s the one thing I don’t like about the date, that it’s so far away…. The ‘No-Gi Europeans’ are on in Rome in April, so I’m gonna go and compete in them just to keep busy because ideally I would like to fight again.”

Said McGregor on Jose Aldo:

“100 percent, I am extremely confident in every aspect of this contest: in the physical aspect, in the mental aspect, in the technique aspect. I have it all and I will crush him down.”

McGregor’s complete interview is available here:

Then, Kruck caught up with UFC 183 headliners Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva to discuss their Saturday night showdown. In this clip, Silva says he is still in his prime and is happy to be fighting again, while Diaz discusses how he matches up with Silva:

INSIDE MMA took a look at a California-based youth pankration league, a sanctioned form of amateur martial arts competition, and then hosts Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten discussed the topic with UFC hall of famer Randy Couture and his son, Bellator MMA fighter Ryan Couture.
