FIRST THREE SEASONS OF THE HIT DRAMA SERIES ‘NASHVILLE’ TO LAUNCH ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 WITH THREE BACK-TO-BACK EPISODES EACH WEEK STARTING AT 8pE

LOS ANGELES – Monday, July 27, 2015 – AXS TV—cable’s premier music performance and entertainment event channel—announced today the rollout of its fall premiere dates for new and returning series. The diverse lineup includes season 12 of the global powerhouse singing competition THE X FACTOR UK, airing for the second consecutive year on AXS TV, on Sunday, August 30. The new season marks the return of fan-favorite judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini who will also be joined by a new pair of judges, international pop superstar Rita Ora and respected BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw as well as two brand new hosts – hit singer/songwriter and former contestant Olly Murs and TV personality Caroline Flack. The series will air weekly with new episodes premiering on Sundays and Mondays at 8pE.

Beginning Saturday, September 26, AXS TV will present the ultimate binge-watching experience with an evening of great storytelling, immersive drama, and show-stopping performances, with the smash country music drama NASHVILLE. The network has acquired the first three seasons of the beloved series, and will air three episodes in succession each week, starting on Sept. 26 at 8pE. NASHVILLE stars an outstanding ensemble cast led by Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere in addition to an impressive roster of guest stars that includes Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Kelly Clarkson, and Luke Bryan, among others.

And AXS TV is proud to present the world television premiere of Magnolia Pictures’ Oscar®-winning documentary MAN ON WIRE, Saturday, September 5 at 9pE. Filmed on location in New York and Paris, MAN ON WIRE is the incredible true story of daredevil Philippe Petit’s ambitious—and highly illegal—scheme to walk the high wire between New York’s landmark Twin Towers on August 7, 1974. Featuring interviews with Petit and his crew, the film details the eight months of planning that went into the pulse-pounding stunt, as he carefully mapped out what would later become known as “the artistic crime of the century.” MAN ON WIRE was a critical sensation, and ultimately took home the Oscar® for Best Documentary in 2009.

Additionally, the network has composed a fall programming roster loaded with high-energy concerts, edgy comedy, hard-hitting MMA events, and candid interviews, headlined by the UK-produced documentary series ROCK LEGENDS on Wednesday, October 14, at 8pE. Packed with rare archival footage, live performances, and surprising reveals, the second season of this series gives viewers an in-depth look at the lives and legacies of some of the biggest names in music such as KISS, No Doubt, Amy Winehouse, Meat Loaf, Van Halen, Prince, Tina Turner, and more.

The network is also premiering the new original series BREAKING BAND on Wednesday, October 14, at 9pE. The six-episode 30-minute documentary style reality series places legendary musical artists into the role of mentors, pairing them with up-and-coming artists for a once in a lifetime collaboration. This season’s mentors are musician and TV personality Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), pop queen Belinda Carlisle (The Go-Go’s), rock legend Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), award-winning producer and techno icon Moby, metal master Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), and guitar idol Dave Navarro (Janes Addiction). As mentors, their role is to share advice and lend support to the breaking artists – potentially even taking the stage to join them for an encore. The series was shot at YouTube Space LA with concert highlights available on Youtube.com/axstvconcerts.

Joining ROCK LEGENDS and BREAKING BAND on Wednesdays starting October 14 is the 26-episode PROFILES block at 9:30pE. The late night lineup puts the spotlight on an impressive list of entertainers spanning a wide variety of decades and genres, with titles such as Ariana Grande: My Way, Britney Spears: Workin’ It, Carrie Underwood: Country Idol, Elton John: Music Man, J-Lo: Get Real, Metallica: Masters of Metal, One Direction: The Inside Story, Pharrell: Happy Go Lucky, Tim McGraw: Southern Man, Shakira: Hits Don’t Lie, The Story of the Rolling Stones, Whitney Houston: We Will Always Love You, and many more.

Fall will also welcome the return of several AXS TV original series, including THE BIG INTERVIEW with Dan Rather, airing every Tuesday at 8pE/5pP. The fall cycle of new episodes start in late October, when the legendary newsman sits down with industry icons such as country favorite Charley Pride, Oscar®-winning auteur Quentin Tarantino, actress, model and mogul Kathy Ireland, rock n’ roll pioneer Gregg Allman, among others.

The Thursday comedy block is back on August 27, with the addition of ONLY IN AMERICA—the popular road trip reality series produced by Pilgrim Studios starring beloved comedian Larry the Cable Guy on a cross-country quest to find the people, places, and things that make this country unique, with back-to-back episodes every week at 8pE and 9pE.
