Company Also Renews Companion-Channel HDNet Movies Affiliate Deal

LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 23, 2015 – AXS TV, the premier cable television destination for live music festival broadcasts, music programming, comedy performances and MMA action, has signed a new multi-year distribution agreement with Suddenlink, the seventh-largest cable distributor in the U.S. This year Suddenlink will significantly increase AXS TV’s distribution to communities it serves,  and will make it available to subscribers in both standard and high definition. AXS TV’s companion-channel HDNet Movies also renewed its affiliate deal with Suddenlink as part of the overall agreement.

“As one of the most respected cable operators in the industry today, Suddenlink’s partnership with AXS TV is a strong endorsement that their subscribers have a great demand for the valuable, specialized programming our network provides,” said Jeff Cuban, executive vice president and general manager of AXS TV and HDNet Movies. “Now, with this deal, Suddenlink subscribers will be able to enjoy the same high quality content we’re known for, featuring live broadcasts and performances by today’s top musicians, comedians, and MMA athletes. As TV’s home for music, we are especially excited to give Suddenlink consumers the ultimate front-row experience as we broadcast five of the United States’ biggest music festivals throughout the spring and summer.

“Suddenlink’s recognition of the value that HDNet Movies brings to its subscribers is important as the Channel schedules films for every member of the family,” continued Cuban. “Not only does the channel showcase a diverse slate of box-office hits, but also features kidScene, a daily and Friday night programming block dedicated to both younger movie lovers and the young at heart.”

“We’re pleased to extend our relationship with HDNet Movies and AXS TV,” said Suddenlink Senior Vice President and Chief Programming Officer Kathy Payne. “AXS TV and HDNet Movies offer unique entertainment programming not found elsewhere and will be a great complement to our customers’ current entertainment options.”
