LOS ANGELES – July 5, 2016 – AXS TV is proud to broadcast the visionary benefit special: ONE NIGHT FOR ONE DROP 2016 IMAGINED BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL® for the second consecutive year, premiering on Wednesday, July 20, at 8pE/5pP. The exclusive event celebrates the tremendous impact of Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté’s non-profit organization ONE DROP, crafting a unique audio and visual experience that captivates the imagination, while raising awareness and funds for global water issues. All proceeds benefit ONE DROP’s global water initiatives.

Originally filmed at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, on Friday, March 18, the one night only spectacular boasts a completely original show produced and created by noted director Hassan El Hajjami. Inspired by Hajjami’s own experiences walking two miles a day to retrieve water with his grandmother in their native home of Morocco, this year’s show was  brought to life with more than 100 volunteer Cirque du Soleil performers. The star-studded benefit generated $6.5 million for ONE DROP’s global water initiatives, with all proceeds supporting water access programs across the globe.

On hand for the night’s festivities were a wide variety of special celebrity guests, performers, and spectators, headlined by GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter Leona Lewis, who brought down the house with powerful renditions of her hits “Bleeding Love” and “Thunder”; as well as BLACK-ISH fan-favorite Miles Brown and Marsai Martin; pop superstar Natasha Bedingfield; REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA standout Nene Leakes; master magician Criss Angel; innovative dance squad Jabbawockeez; Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman; and Cirque du Soleil President Daniel Lamarre; among others.
