Jackass® Star Steve-O Dishes on Celebrity Drug Use with HDNet’s Rob Shuter

WHAT: This week Steve-O, the man infamous for his stunts on “Jackass,” talks to Rob about his wild ways, his now sober life, his drug use with other celebs like Lindsay Lohan and Mike Tyson and his new book.

“[I have been sober] since March 10, 2008. Johnny Knoxville and a bunch of our Jackass crew…Knoxville staged an intervention and they forcibly locked me up in a psychiatric ward. It’s called a 51/50 when someone gets locked up and when I got to the hospital I was so belligerent that they changed my status to two weeks 52/50,” explains Steve-O. “You know you’ve got a serious [expletive] problem when Johnny Knoxville is your interventionist!”

When asked about his book, Steve-O tells Rob, “It’s been always my plan. I always wanted to have a crazy story and have people know about it.”

Steve-O remains close with all of the guys from “Jackass,” and was very close with Ryan Dunn who recently passed away in a car crash. This interview was shot prior to Ryan Dunn’s death.
