Los Angeles – Oct. 7, 2016 – Capping off a thrilling finish-filled night of action on AXS TV FIGHTS: LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 60, headliner Tyler East (15-6, 1NC) announced his retirement from MMA after rival Brian Heden (30-15) knocked him out in the first round. East previously beat Heden when they first met in the cage in 2010.

Top moments from tonight’s card include:

  • Heavyweight Zach Thumb (5-2) landed a knee to the side of Maurice Green’s (2-2) head for a 25-second knock-out.
  • It took only 12 seconds for Marcus Edwards (12-4) to TKO Billy Christianson (12-6) in their lightweight clash.
  • Welterweight Tat Romero (27-6) body slammed Isaiah Pitts (6-2) before submitting him with a head and arm choke in the first round.
  • In the co-main event, Dakota Cochrane (26-10) choked out Jos Eichelberger (18-10) just before the second round bell after several minutes of ground-and-pound.

Main Event – Heavyweight Fight – Brian Heden (30-15) defeated Tyler East (15-6, 1 NC) by TKO (punches) at 1:51 in round one.

Co-Main Event – Welterweight Fight – Dakota Cochrane (26-10) defeated Jos Eichelberger (18-10) by submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:47 in round two.

Featherweight Fight – Nate Richardson (5-1) defeated Nick Compton (12-5) by TKO at 2:34 in round three.

Welterweight Fight – Tat Romero (27-6) defeated Isaiah Pitts (6-2) by submission (head and arm choke) at 3:50 in round one.

Lightweight Fight – Marcus Edwards (12-4) defeated Billy Christianson (12-6) by TKO (punches) at 0:12 in round 1.

Light Heavyweight Fight – Cam Olson (6-2) defeated Nick Wagner (8-6-1) by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Heavyweight Fight – Zach Thumb (5-2) defeated Maurice Green (2-2) by knockout (knee) at 0:25 in round one.
