Billy Joel, AXS TV, Jazz Fest to Release Musician’s Festival Television Performance

Billy Joel, AXS TV and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival are releasing Joel’s 4-song 2013 Jazz Fest broadcast performance for fans worldwide to experience. This extraordinary event begins today with Miami 2017 and continues with one song per week for the next 3 weeks.

The legendary performer opened his set telling the tens of thousands of fans in the crowd along with AXS TV viewers at home that “New York takes its inspiration from New Orleans,” referencing the kindred cities hurricane disasters, as he kicked off Miami 2017 (Seen The Lights Go Out on Broadway).

To mark the Tuesday, May 28 release of his much-anticipated new album Wrote A Song For Everyone, John Fogerty will perform a very special one night only album release concert at the El Rey in Los Angeles. May 28 also marks the birthday of the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Only a limited about of tickets will be sold to the event BUT the show will be broadcast LIVE on AXS TV at 11:30p ET | 8:30p PT.

Wrote A Song For Everyone (Vanguard Records) is a celebration of one of rock’s most important artists and features a collection of 12 classics and deep tracks from Creedence Clearwater Revival and his solo material. The album includes collaborations with Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, Bob Seger, Keith Urban and other superstars from the country, pop and rock worlds, plus two brand new solo songs.
