Bas Rutten Thinks Steven Seagal Is Crazy

Inside MMA is a Mixed Martial Arts show that airs once a week on HDNet fights that features Kenny Rice as the host and Bas Rutten as the co-host. One of the features on Inside MMA is a segment called “viewer submissions” where fans email questions to fighters or Bas himself. In one of these segments, Bas was asked what the outcome would be in a fight with himself and Steven Seagal. In true Bas style and his “party on” attitude, he explained that Seagal wouldn’t stand a chance. Just ask Seagal what happened when he told Judo Gene LeBell that he couldn’t be choked out. Well apparently Seagal was wrong, was choked out twice and was said to have “messed his pants.”

Needless to say it would seem that Steven Seagal is a joke to everyone in the MMA world except for Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida. Bas Rutten has even most recently said that Seagal is a joke.

Speaking via Bas Ruttens Twitter, he said:

“Never ever seen this, wow, haha.”

“From now on, that’s the weapon to watch out for from Silva, almost no hip movement so u couldn’t tell it was coming.”

“Seagal now claiming he taught Silva that kick? And he REALLY believes this? wow, again, WOW!”

“I bet u he really believes what he says, its the funniest thing ever, EVER!”

“Thought it was a skit first, like Saturday night live, but then realized it’s not. “He contacted me to teach me deadly stuff”, Haha, tears!”

“He taught him a front kick to the face? he invented that? Nobody else knows this kick yet? What planet does he live on? OK, lets NEVER talk about this again, lets NOT do this, I WILL address it ONCE on Inside MMA though, but that’s it. Party on!”

“I saw Ariel having a smirk on his face, that’s why I really thought it was a joke, I am not kidding, Inside MMA is coming up! Hahahaha!!”

There is video of Seagal teaching a low “push kick” but considering that Seagal can’t kick higher than three feet, it’s hard to imagine him teaching Silva this kick that he has used in past fights.
