HDNet Fights Video Vault: Pete Spratt vs. Demi Deeds at MFC 29

A familiar face appears in this week’s edition of HDNet Fights Video Vault.

Pete Spratt, a 12-year pro who previously competed for organizations such as the UFC and Strikeforce, recently ventured to Canada for MFC 29.

There, he took on fellow welterweight Demi Deeds in an April 9 HDNet-televised fight in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Each week HDNet and MMAjunkie.com release a new and exclusive fight from the ever-growing HDNet Fights video library. Stunning knockouts, slick submissions, shocking finishes and legendary brawls are the norm for this weekly feature.

Spratt vs. Deeds is no exception.

The bout had a little bit of everything, including competitive striking, back-and-forth grappling, near-knockouts, submission attempts, accidental low blows, a fighter possibly being saved by the bell, and ultimately, a dramatic finish.

Spratt (21-19 at the time) simply wanted a win following a 1-3 skid, which included back-to-back MFC losses. A 40-year-old who’s tested himself against some of the biggest names in the sport, he took on Deeds (15-8), a onetime Bellator fighter who looked to end a two-fight losing streak of his own.

Would Spratt get the win, or would Deeds pick up a signature career victory?
