New Japan Returns With a Double Dose of Destruction.

The Ace defends the British Heavyweight title against ZSJ. Kota Ibushi puts up his title opportunity against KENTA.

New Japan Pro Wrestling returns this Saturday night with two incredible back-to-back episodes. Hour one will feature a rematch for the British Heavyweight championship. For over eight months, Zack Sabre Jr. has gloated that he was the very best in the world. For over eight months, Zack Sabre Jr. proclaimed that he wanted to make the title that was around his waist the most important title in the world. For over eight months, Zack Sabre Jr. proved to the world that he was the very best British wrestler on the planet. However, the clock struck midnight and Zack Sabre Jr. left New Japan Pro Wrestling’s first big event out of the U.K. on his back. By all means, this was not an upset victory as the man he lost it to, Hiroshi Tanahashi, is one of the best the wrestling world has to offer. ZSJ is determined and will go after the Ace in Beppu.

The night continues with hour two from Kagoshima; this time with serious implications for the world title match at Wrestle Kingdom 14. See, there’s a catch when you become the G1 winner. Yes, you have the opportunity to challenge for the championship; however, those that have defeated the winner during tournament action have the ability to challenge for the right to face the IWGP Heavyweight Champion at the big show in the Tokyo Dome. Welcome, Bullet Club’s newest member, KENTA. He defeated 2019 G1 Climax winner Kota Ibushi on the tournament’s first night in Dallas, Texas. Can he do it again and be on his way to headlining New Japan’s biggest show of the year?
