What better way to spend a milestone night than by watching world-class striking?
Lion Fight delivered one of their very best cards on Friday for what just happened to be the 300th event from HDNet/AXS TV Fights.
The main event of Lion Fight 25 featured one of the biggest match-ups to date at Lion Fight. For the first time in over a decade Australian Muay Thai legend John Wayne Parr traveled to the U.S. for a much anticipated rubber match with AXS TV regular Cosmo Alexandre. Parr moved up in weight for the fight and it showed as Alexandre seemed much bigger and stronger than the Australian at times. In the end it was the Brazilian that won the decision, the title, and the best-of-three series.
Undefeated Dutch woman Jorina Baars returned to defend her title in the night’s co-main event. In a rematch of a 2012 fight, Baars took on Czech fighter Martina Jindrova. The challenger was able to cut Baars with an elbow, but otherwise the champ was too much. Baars used her long reach to earn a decision win and retain her title.
Also on the card, veteran Romie Adanza pulled of another amazing come-from-behind win, Ming Freeman earned a last second KO over Jason Andrada, and Mike Lemaire and Jake Poss went to war in an insane five round battle.
