Tyron Woodley squared off against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 183 last month. The two delivered a close bout, ending with a split decision going the way of Woodley. The day before, Gastelum missed the mark for their 170 pound matchup by nine pounds. In his victory speech (broken foot and all) Tyron Woodley declined to take the weigh in penalty money he was due from Gastelum. He told Inside MMA “He’s already lost his undefeated streak. He’s already got the scrutiny and embarrassment from missing weight. There’s no point in me penalizing this kid further.”
Now Woodley is taking it a step FURTHER, by actually helping Gastelum with is weight (UFC 183 was Gastelum’s second time missing weight). “There’s little compassion in MMA these days. I’ve learned a lot in my career, including effective ways to diet, thanks in no small part to @metabolicmeals. This is a chance to pay forward some knowledge to Kelvin as he gets started in his career.”
