Washington State avenges Pac 12 Tournament Loss to Oregon State with 72 to 55 Win

A few weeks ago it was the Oregon State Beavers who knocked off Washington State in the Pac 12 tournament despite 2 regular season losses. On Wednesday night, the Cougars got their revenge knocking off Oregon State 72 to 55 in Corvallis and punching a ticket to the CBI Finals.

Washington State clamped down on the Beavers holding them to their lowest point total of the season. What’s more surprising is that the Cougars were able to win without their leading scorer, Brock Motum, who went down with a sprained ankle early in the game.

Senior, Abe Lodwick more than made up for his injured teammate scoring 23 points, including 5 threes, and adding 12 rebounds. Cougars guard, Reggie Moore added another 22 points en route to a 17 point win over the Beavers.

The Beavers, who had been red hot of late, could not get much going offensively and had only 2 players with double-digit points. Junior, Jared Cunningham scored 13 points while red-shirt freshmen, Eric Moreland added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cougars ruined Oregon State’s bid for another CBI championship. Washington State will now face the Pitt Panthers in a Best-of-3 series for the CBI Title Monday on HDNet.
