There is no denying that Elvis Presley is a true music icon and has definitely earned the title of the “the King of Rock and Roll.” With an enormous body of hit singles, commercial success in many genres, including pop, country, blues, and gospel music, he is the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music. Prescription drug abuse severely compromised his health and he died suddenly in 1977 at his Graceland estate at just 42 years of age. Docs That Rock: Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man

Alan Jackson is the true definition of a “Small Town Southern Man”. He was born in Newnan, Georgia, and lived in a small home with his parents & four siblings that built around his grandfather’s old toolshed. He wrote his first song in 1983 and since then he has sold over 80 million records, with 66 titles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Jackson also is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACM Awards, and nominee of multiple other awards. Most recently, he has been inducted into the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame. This feature-length documentary, Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man, chronicles Jackson’s life from his upbringing in Georgia to his 2017 induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
