Robert Watley Shuts Out Moises to Score the Inaugural Lightweight Belt | LFA 17 Highlights & Results

The Weather Was Hot, But the Action Was Hotter in North Carolina at LFA 17!

In the main event, Robert Watley and Thiago Moises went to war for the inaugural LFA Lightweight championship! Both men came out firing and showed the crowd just how tough they are by delivering brutal back-and-forth strikes for all five rounds. Watley used his faints and fakes to his advantage, which caught Moises off guard again and again. It was ultimately Watley’s relentlessness that scored him the unanimous decision victory, adding a 9th consecutive win to his record and crowning him the LFA Lightweight champion!

The co-main event of the evening quickly turned into an exciting grappling & wrestling match between Tony Gravely & Keith Richardson. Richardson came into this fight on only two days notice and showed that he was here to battle. Gravely quickly took control of the first round with his many takedowns and escapes from Richardson’s submission attempts. The judges awarded Gravely with an unanimous decision victory after his dominating performance, showing that he is a wrestler to be contended with!
