Another great night of fights came out of Lake Charles, LA as Trevin Giles maintained his perfect record.
It was a battle of the titans as the undefeated Trevin “The Problem” Giles took on Ryan “Superman” Spann in a very evenly matched contest. Even though Giles is five inches shorter than Spann, it didn’t stop him from aggressively attacking for all three rounds. Spann is the first fighter to ever take Giles to a decision, but the judges gave a nod to Giles granting him the Unanimous Decision victory. The co-main event quickly turned into a blood bath when 21-year-old Brendan “All In” Allen landed a hard left knee on his opponent Jon Kirk’s nose, causing blood to gush all over both fighters in what looked like a scene from a Quentin Tarantino film. The referee called a stop to the fight after some brutal ground-n-pound from Allen, giving him the TKO victory only 2:46 into round 1.
The quickest finish of the night went to Thanh Le for his victory over Alex Black. Le hit Black with roundhouse kick/huge right hand combo, ending the fight only 1:43 into the first round. Despite the quick finish, this fight definitely had “Fight of the Night” written all over it!
