Another Week, Another Double Elimination – The X Factor UK Week 11 Recap
Reinvention week brought some amazing performances and some heartbreaking goodbyes.
In the second week of lives, our contestants were faced with the task of twisting a classic track into their own version. 4th Impact had us clapping along with a mash-up of Girl’s Aloud “Sound of the Underground” and Shirley Ellis’s “The Clapping Song”, Ché Chesterman gave a haunting re-imagination of The Supremes “You Can’t Hurry Love”, and Louisa Johnson put her always “ridiculously good” touch on Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”. But, like always, some contestants weren’t at their best. Anton Stephans’ “All About That Bass”/”Bang Bang” mash-up left most of the judges confused and Simon Cowell said he “hated” Monica Michael’s sultry “Crazy In Love” cover.
When it came to the results show, we quickly learned that our bottom three were shockingly Kiera Weathers, Mason Noise, and Seann Miley Moore. Thanks to the public vote, or lack thereof, the first to go was Kiera, leaving Seann and Mason to sing for their lives. The choice then turned to the judges, but mentor Nick couldn’t choose one of his boys to go home, so he sent it into deadlock, where Seann was ultimately eliminated. Check out the week in videos below and catch the next round of lives Sunday and Monday 8/7c on AXS TV!
Kiera Weathers took Mark Morrison’s hit “Return of the Mack” and turned it into an upbeat dance track. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep her in the competition.
Simon didn’t just like Lauren Murray’s performance… he loved it AND she made it through to next week.
Seann Miley Moore put his classic dramatic twist on The Mama & the Papa’s “California Dreamin'”. But the public vote sent him home.
