How Louisa Won the X Factor Crown
From the very beginning we knew Louisa Johnson had star power. Here’s how she proved she had The X Factor.
When we first met 17 year old Louisa, she was clearly nervous, but with just one word of advice from judge Cheryl to “breathe” she completely blew everyone away with Michael Jackson’s “Who’s Loving You”. The audience rose to their feet and Simon told her she was already the “one to beat”.
At the dreaded Six Chair Challenge, Louisa earned another well deserved standing ovation, and obviously a seat from her mentor, Rita Ora.
When it came time for Rita to make another cut, Louisa rose to the challenge and delivered a pitch perfect rendition of the classic “Respect” by Aretha Franklin. Even guest judge, Meghan Trainor, said she became a “star”.
Week after week, Louisa continued to dazzle in the live episodes. This show-stopping performance of James Brown’s “This Is A Man’s World” was no different and became her Song of the Series.
In the final week it came down to Louisa and Reggie and Bollie. Eight million votes later, Louisa was crowned the champion of The X Factor UK 2015.
