More singing, dancing, and drama with Simon – The X Factor UK Week 7 Recap
The first week of the Six Chair Challenge was intense… this week was no different.
For round two it was Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s turn to finalize the top six boys and groups headed to Judge’s Houses. The night started with a dud, rather than a bang, with the first four boys getting a thumbs down from Nick. Thankfully things got better and soon the six chairs were full with Tom Bleasby, Jamie Eldridge, Papsidero, Simon Lynch, Nathanael Landskroner, and Seann Miley Moore. Then, because the Six Chair Challenge can NEVER be easy, the real drama began. Mason Noise argued with Simon Cowell and walked off stage, Papasidero lost his seat to Josh Daniels, and Tom Bleasby was replaced by Ben Clark. However, due to audience demand Tom Bleasby returned and booted Nathanael Landskroner. After all the swaps and squabbles we met our final six boys: Ben Clark, Ché Chesterman, Josh Daniels, Simon Lynch, Tom Bleasby, and Seann Miley Moore.
BUT the madness wasn’t over yet and the groups took the stage. Menn on Poinnt started things off with a dance party and earned the first chair. Before the night closed, the chairs were already full with Menn on Poinnt, Alien, Rumour Has It, 4th Power, Mon Amie, and The First Kings. Will they keep their spots and make their way to Judge’s Houses? Tune in MONDAY 8/7c to find out as Chezza finalizes her top six & the overs begin their journey!
Josh Daniels has had high expectations since his first audition. Thankfully, he lived up to all of them with his performance and earned a chair.
Simon was pleasantly surprised by Ben Clark’s performance, giving him a standing ovation. Nick felt the same and gave him a pass to the next round.
Ché Chesterman was the last of the boys to take the stage and with the seats already full, the stakes were high, but of course Ché dazzled once again and made it through.
Menn on Poinnt always bring insane energy and didn’t disappoint! Their rendition of “Cheerleader” brought the audience to their feet and earned them a seat.
4th Power’s performance was so good, Simon was begging them to join the overs. It was no surprise they got a chair from Cheryl.
See if your favorite contestant will make it through the ultimate in television entertainment: as the dreaded “Six Chair Challenge” continues Monday at 8/7c!
