The X Factor UK Results Show Week One Recap
16 entered, 14 came out, and Stevie is still alive.
Some contestants were “Happy” and others were left to “Shake It Off” as we ventured into the always tumultuous live results shows. 16 year old Lauren Platt, Italian sensation Andrea Faustini, and the smoky and seductive Fleur East emerged as frontrunners to go far in this competition. Then one by one we learned who was on to next weeks show until only Blonde Electra, Stephanie Nala, and Overload Generation remained. Blonde Electra was first to hear they were going home. Stephanie and Overload engaged in a furious sing off, and after the judges couldn’t decide who was going home the tie-breaking vote went to the UK audience who sent home early favorites Overload. Show highlights below…
All of the contestants sing Ellie Goulding’s “Anything Can Happen” in a group performance
Blonde Electra is voted off the show
Overload Generation bows out of the competition after losing the public vote.
Fleur East wows with her rendition of All About That Bass
Andrea we just can’t with you. Dusting off a little MJ and moving right into your heart.
Lauren Platt floors the audience all the way from the UK to AXS TV viewers across the pond with “Happy”
