The X Factor UK Results Show Week Four Recap
Fright Night had double meaning as contestants sang spooktacular songs, but we had to say goodbye to two favorites.
It was hailed as one of the best nights of performances in the history of The X Factor. One by one contestants stepped up to the stage and belted out amazing renditions of Halloween themed songs. Lauren Platt stepped out of the “good girl” mold to crush a Katy Perry hit, while Only The Young finally found their voice as a group performing “The Monster Mash”. We loved gooooooooold with Andrea Faustini, and tried to lighten up with Paul Akister. However the performance of the night was “The Music of the Night”, as Stevi Ritchie wowed the world and got a standing ovation by finally belting out his dream song. To close Sunday’s show we said goodbye to Jack Walton who was sent home immediately after receiving the fewest amount of votes in the competition.
On Monday’s results show Cheryl hopped from the judges table to the stage and gave a jaw dropping performance of her new single “I Don’t Care”. Later, John Legend dazzled the audience and we saw an excellent group performance of Katy Perry’s “Firework”. But with the fun and games over we saw Stereo Kicks go to the sing off against Lola Saunders. Both acts sang their hearts out, and even the judges couldn’t decide who to send home. So, we went to deadlock and our little fishmonger was sent home. Show highlights below…
All of the contestants sing Katy Perry’s “Firework” in a group performance
Jack Walton leaves the competition
Lola Saunders can’t survive a sing off even though she crushed this performance of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman
Fleur East with the step for step remake of MJ really “Thrilled” the audience.
We really dug this funky version of Gary Jules’ Mad World by Jay James
Stevi gives the performance of the night, and of his lifetime.
