The X Factor UK Results Show Week Three Recap
X Factor Live Show Three was movie week, and boy did the final 12 step up to the challenge, as they tackled some of the biggest tracks from the silver screen.
It was a surprising store in many ways, with Mel B – shock horror – apologizing for being wrong about Fleur East last week, to some unusual performances. Some acts stormed their way back to success after being all but written off, such as Stereo Kicks, while others, such as former favourite Jack Walton, leaving the judges cold. As ever, there was more in-panel fighting – particularly between Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, and Simon and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini sniping at each other over their acts.
On Monday’s results show One Republic and Ed Sheeran dazzled the audience and we saw an excellent group performance of Rather Be. But with the fun and games over we saw Jake Quickenden go to the sing off against Only The Young. After two lackluster performances the judges agreed it was time to send Jake home. Show highlights below…
All of the contestants sing Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” in a group performance
Jake Quickenden leaves the competition
Only The Young survive a sing off thanks to (or in spite of) this version of “The Winner Takes It All”
Stereo Kicks break out of their funk and into the favorites with a little help from their friends.
Louis Walsh told Stevi it was time to go home, but it was clear no one was having more fun on stage.
The Judges called this Paul Akister’s best performance yet! What do you think
