With a career of over two decades and album sales over 11 million, Foo Fighters are giants in the world of contemporary rock. The roots of the band were of a much smaller scale, though, with the early musical projects of a teenage Dave Grohl. Nirvana came to a tragic end with the death of front man, Kurt Cobain. Grohl began working with the songs he had written on tour, to produce the first Foo Fighters album.
